With around 50 independent companies operating under the Halma umbrella, the challenge to deliver a careers platform for external job seekers was multi-layered. Halma needed a central jobs board powered by Workday, but without compromising the autonomy, branding, and identity of each business.
That required respecting the distinct brand identities of each company while maintaining a clear and consistent Halma look and feel. The project focused on making sure the careers experience felt fully integrated within the Halma website rather than a third-party add-on. We looked at ways in which external candidates could explore opportunities with confidence and ease and it created a flexible solution that could scale as new companies were acquired, or adopted the Workday Recruitment module. Off-the-shelf solutions quickly proved too restrictive, making it clear that a bespoke approach was required.
IDX designed and built a custom careers platform that integrates directly with Workday, delivering a centralised external jobs board while preserving the individuality of each Halma company. The solution was designed to feel like a natural extension of the Halma website, maintaining consistency in design, navigation, and user experience.
The platform allows roles for external audiences from across the group to be surfaced in one place, while still giving each company space to express its own employer brand. Built with flexibility at its core, the solution supports ongoing growth, making it easy to add new companies as Halma continues to expand.
